End of Year Book Tag

Hi all!

Today I’m bringing you the end of year book tag, a tag where we talk about all the books we still have to read before the end of the year! And for me, that’s a lot.

I’ve seen this book tag floating around on the bloggingsphere and thought I’d give it a go!

Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?

I started Tell Me How You Really Feel about a month ago and read a good 100 pages, but never got around to finishing it! I had to return it to the library because someone else had requested it — I’m also not the biggest fan of YA contemporary novels, so that’s probably why it took me so long to read it. But it also has an f/f enemies to lovers romance and that’s one of my favourite things ever! So I’m determined to read it!!

Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?

Two books feature libraries, one a creepy boarding school; one’s about hell, another is about intense romances, and the last about children trying to get back to their magical worlds. All very autumnal, in my opinion!

Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?

Definitely The Queen of Nothing! I know everyone and their dog is excited for this book, and that’s me included! I want to know how this series ends and I’m hoping Jude and Cardan either get together, or Jude kills him and becomes Queen of Faerie.

What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?

I’m excited for all these books and have been meaning to read all of them for ages! I desperately need to read them before the end of the year.

Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favourite book of the year?

My current favourite book of the year is The Starless Sea and while I don’t think Crier’s War can become my number one favourite book, but I do suspect it will become top 10! Very excited to read it!

Have you already started making reading plans for 2020?

Just a little! I plan to really get into my classics reading challenge that I set for myself three years ago. I have five years to read 50 classics books … and have been pretty crappy about reading them. So far I’ve only read 8 books lol. And I have two years left to finish them all, so please wish me luck!

I also hope to do the Popsugar 2020 Reading Challenge. I attempt it every year and I do pretty well! I never finish but to be fair I complete most of it (I only ever have like 5 challenges left to complete).

Really hope you love Criers War! I enjoyed it so much and it’s a top ten read for me. I want to read more classics in 2020 too! I didn’t read nearly as many as I hoped to this year but I’m making it a challenge. Goodluck with the end of the year, Laura !
