The past few years, I’ve shared a whole bunch of statistics of my reading for the year, based on things I thought were interesting. I decided to do it again because it was pretty cool seeing my reading spread out in charts like that, where I could track things more clearly.
So here we go again!
Total books read in 2021
Books read each month
My best reading month was February with 28 books read — a book a day! And my worst was April with only 2 books read 😦
As usual, I rated quite a lot of books 5 stars! And that’s because I only read books I’m genuinely interested in.
Here’s all the books I read 5 stars:
Average star rating
Shortest book and longest book read
Genres that don’t show up on the graph:
- Contemporary: 5%
- Magical realism: 2%
- Thriller: 1%
- Graphic novels: 4%
- Nonfiction: 3%
9 out of 115
Wow, every year I read fewer and fewer YA books!
Very surprised that I read only a measly 12% of physical books!
Authors I read the most from
- KJ Charles: 6 books
- Cat Sebastian: 6 books
- Alexis Hall: 6 books
- TJ Klune: 5 books
- Lyn Gala: 5 books
- Charlies Adhara: 5 books
- Rachel Reid: 5 books
Gender of authors
Definitely read a lot more books by male authors than I usually do!
Years not showing up on the graph:
- 1899-1800: 5%
- 999-900: 0.9%
- -500: 0.9%
