Hi all!
Hope you had a wonderful spooky season! I know I did! I spent the month watching a few scary movies, and giving out plenty of chocolate on Halloween night. How did you celebrate Halloween? Let me know!

Book of the month
Two books of the month again! The first book I adored was Dark Rise by C.S. Pacat. Pacat is my favourite author ever so I was so so so excited for his new novel, a YA debut. It was an incredible fantasy novel with traditional fantasy vibes — I highly recommend.
And the other amazing book was The Kingdoms by Natasha Pulley. Pulley has quickly become a favourite author of mine this year and The Kingdoms is my ultimate favourite. It’s a beautiful time travel story with a touching romance at the heart of it. Read this gem right now!

Non-bookish stuff
This month, I spent a few days in quarantine as my work had a positive Covid case. And during those days, I watched all three of the How To Train Your Dragon movies, which I thoroughly enjoyed! I would say the third was my favourite, then the first, and the second my least favourite. But the movies were really great, and I’m glad I watched them.

Then I rewatched Knives Out and Coraline, which are some of my favourite movies ever. And I also watched Anna Karenina for the first time after reading the novel this month as well. Got to be honest, I preferred the movie 😅.

Looking forward: November

Tentative TBR:

How was your October? How many books did you read? Did you find a new favourite? Let me know!

Oooh, so many exciting reads on here! Dark Rise 😍 I’m hoping to get to that one soon. Also, I’m glad you liked the HTTYD movies! I liked those a lot, and I agree that the 3rd was the best, with the 2nd being the… least best? “Worst” doesn’t feel right since I did still enjoy it. 😂
