Hi all!
Welcome to Blogmas day 18! Today, I’m talking about five books I would give as Christmas presents!
I really wracked my head to find some good picks here — something that a majority of readers will enjoy, regardless of what genre you usually read. These are also good picks for people who aren’t really readers but want to get into reading.

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab

I would definitely buy The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue as a Christmas present — or any present at all! This novel is beautiful, both in storyline and in the writing. It spans centuries, so there’s plenty to love for both those who enjoy historical and contemporary fiction. Plus, there’s a hint of fantasy — more fabulism — that fantasy readers will also get a kick out of. I really think it’s a novel for everyone!
Girl, Woman, Other by Bernadine Evaristo

I definitely recommend Girl, Woman, Other as a Christmas present because this book covers so many important, fascinating topics that you wouldn’t want to put it down. The novel is actually a collection of short stories, and it’s so interesting to see how each character connects to the other. If you’re looking for a wonderful, important read about womanhood, race, queerness and history, then look no further.
The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune

The House in the Cerulean Sea is a stunningly beautiful novel that I think everyone will enjoy! It’s soft, sweet and so hopeful. This book is guaranteed to make everyone smile — and we definitely need that this Christmas.
Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes

Flowers for Algernon is a book that is going to make you think and most likely cry. I don’t think I’ve ever come across someone who says they didn’t like this book. It’s deeply motivating and beautiful. Definitely a book for everyone!
Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones

Howl’s Moving Castle is the perfect book for children, or for your inner child! This book is just so much fun, I can’t imagine anyone disliking it! The plot and worldbuilding is so wonderful, and the characters are super loveable. Plus the romance? AMAZING!

What books would you give as Christmas presents? Let me know!
