Hi all!
I hope everyone is doing well during these turbulent times. Today, I’ll be taking part in the WWW meme!
WWW Wednesday is a book meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words. Basically, this tag involves answering the following questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you plan on reading next?
What are you currently reading?
I’m currently read The Red Parts by Maggie Nelson. This is a nonfiction novel about Nelson after she finds out that the man who murdered her aunt 20 years ago has finally been Brough to justice. I’m not very far into it yet, but I have read Nelson’s The Argonauts and enjoyed that.
What did you recently finish?
Finished quite a few novels over the past two weeks!
I absolutely adored Piranesi and want to reread it already again. It’s so haunting and completely unlike anything I’ve read before.
I quite enjoyed House of Earth and Blood, which was surprising. It was almost a 5 star read for me until the last quarter, which dragged on a bit and was a bit weird (with so much of the last part of the story being narrated as characters watched the main character on a screen as she was in a battle.)
I loved Mexican Gothic! This was such a creepy, terrifying novel that I could not put down. I read it in two days, and highly recommend!
What are you planning on reading next?
I’m so incredibly lucky to receive an ARC of Plain Bad Heroines! I’ve heard nothing but good things about this lesbian dark academia novel!
I can’t believe I haven’t read The Lost Book of the White yet! I usually read Clare’s books as soon as they’re published, but I haven’t had the chance yet. Need to get to it asap.
Piranesi sounds interesting to me. I’m excited to read it 🙂
