Hi all!
I genuinely can’t believe that November is over and that there’s only one more month left of the year. That’s absolutely ridiculous because I feel like I’ve done nothing this year lol.
Anywayyyyyyyy, this month was all about Harry Potter for me! I had this massive desire to reread all the Harry Potter books but could not find the time to reread 7 whole books, so I decided to watch the movies instead, hoping that will satiate that desire. Well, I watched the films and now I still want to read the books so guess who’s rereading Harry Potter?
Books read
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban // J.K. Rowling // Physical book // ★★★★★
This is easily one of my favourite Harry Potter books (just behind The Half-Blood Prince, but I haven’t reread that yet). I just love everything about this book: from the character developments, to the time travelling plot, to the atmosphere. Also, the movie adaptation is the best Harry Potter movie, don’t @ me.
The Queen of Nothing // Holly Black // Physical book // ★★★
Omg, I was so disappointed with this book! The first 150 pages were great, but it went all down hill from there. This random plot point came out of nowhere and kind of ruined the book for me. The previous books had been leading up to this massive war between two different groups and … it just didn’t happen. So, low-key waste of time imo.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets // J.K. Rowling // Physical book // ★★★★
A great reread! Can’t believe I’ve forgotten so much since my last reread in high school.
This is How You Lose the Time War // Amal el-Mohtar & Max Gladstone // eBook // ★★★★
This was a buddy read with Beth @ Lost in Weep and we both loved this book! It’s very short and is part epistolary, part narrative — but all disjointed and from different time periods. The romance between the two time agents — both women — is so stunning! Loved this book!
Harry Potter and the Philospher’s Stone // J.K. Rowling // Physical book // ★★★★
My first reread was a great reintroduction into this magical world!
The Electric Heir // Victoria Lee // eARC // ★★★★★
OMG THIS BOOK KILLED ME. Ya’ll are not ready, I swear. I was hooked onto each page, but I also didn’t want to read it because I was terrified.
Girls of Storm and Shadow // Natasha Ngan // Physical ARC // ★★★★★
I loved the sequel to Girls of Paper and Fire! It was a bit slow and not much happened plot wise, but it was very character focused which I found enjoyable.
Every Heart a Doorway // Seanan McGuire // eBook // ★★★★★
I was so surprised by how much I enjoyed this book! I was absorbed so instantly into this intriguing world and can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
Book of the Month
Original Tag!
This month I created an original tag all about appreciating all the very hard work us bloggers have put in this year. It’s called the My Favourite Blogging Moments tag!
I don’t think we spend enough time admiring our own work even though we spend hours and hours working on a single post — one blog post, my Buzzfeed Unsolved readathon, took me four months to work on and write up. And I for one think we should gush about all of our amazing posts and accomplishments.
Check it out by clicking on the image below! And please consider doing this tag!

Some of these books I bought and some I found for free at those little libraries, where you take a book and leave a book back in its place. I also got the Call Down the Hawk Owlcrate box!!
What I watched
*big sigh* I can’t believe it, but I’m rewatching Glee from the very beginning. I started watching it back in high school and got to about halfway through season three and stopped because I got annoyed with all of the characters. But seeing it on Netflix has made me want to rewatch it 😅. I’m up to season 3 already.
I also watched the newest season of She-Ra and it was AMAZING!! Omg I can’t believe it ended on that cliffhanger! I’m going to be rewatching this show over and over again!
I’ve also been watching Christine McConnell on YouTube and I just adore her! I watched her show on Netflix called The Curious Mind of Christine McConnell but it got cancelled so she started her own YouTube show! Watch it, she’s amazing:
I love Fence! I can’t wait for vol 4. Some of these have been on my radar for a while- I’ll probably read Doorway next month. But idk why my library copy for Time War hasn’t come yet 😣
