Yeah, yeah, I’m joining another readathon that I’ll probably fail. What about it?!
I love joining readathons, I just have a tendency to forget I’m part of them and I don’t read the books. But because this one is about Harry Potter, I should be able to finish it! Also, it seems pretty lowkey as you don’t need to read many books.

First task:
For this task you must retrieve the golden egg that your dragon is guarding and you will have two challenges to complete. You school will be assigned a dragon and you must choose a method for facing this dragon in order to retrieve the golden egg.
Challenge one — the dragon
The dragon for Beauxbatons is the Hungarian Horntail, which is the dragon that Harry fights in The Goblet of Fire!
Horntails are some of the most dangerous dragons, read a book with a lot of action:
Among the ashes of a dying world, an agent of the Commandant finds a letter. It reads: Burn before reading.
And thus begins an unlikely correspondence between two rival agents hellbent on securing the best possible future for their warring factions. Now, what began as a taunt, a battlefield boast, grows into something more.
Except discovery of their bond would be death for each of them. There’s still a war going on, after all. And someone has to win that war. That’s how war works. Right?
Challenge two — the method
Bewitched Sleep: Send your dragon to sleep by reading a whole book in bed.
Children have always disappeared under the right conditions; slipping through the shadows under a bed or at the back of a wardrobe, tumbling down rabbit holes and into old wells, and emerging somewhere… else. But magical lands have little need for used-up miracle children.

Second task:
Something has been taken from each of the champions and you must retrieve it from the lake, heavily guarded by the merpeople and it’s other inhabitants. You will have two challenges to complete.
Come seek us where our voices sound,
We cannot sing above the ground,
And while you’re searching, ponder this:
We’ve taken what you’ll sorely miss,
An hour long you’ll have to look,
And to recover what we took,
But past an hour – the prospect’s black
Too late, it’s gone, it won’t come back.
Challenge one — what was taken
Who do you need to save from the lake? You can find out which one you have to do by submitting your score for the first task.
I don’t know who I have to save, but I have books for each category and will select one when I find out who to save.
Significant Other: Read a book with a romance

Challenge two — method

Third task:
For this task you must find your way through a maze, facing many challenges along the way, to race to retrieve the Triwizard cup.
Challenge one — the obstacles
Boggart: Read a book that contains something you fear.
Life makes no promises, and sometimes, you draw the short straw. Landon Johnston’s life came to a grinding halt seven months ago, when he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. With the encouragement of his grandmother, Landon works his way out of his slump and tries to live life while he still can. Challenge two — get the cup!
You made it through the maze, but can you take the cup? Make sure it’s not a Portkey and read a book that involves travel of any kind for your final challenge to take the cup and complete the Triwizard Tournament!
