Hi all!
It’s time for another post in the ABC Book Challenge series, one coming out each week for 26 weeks! I originally saw this post over on Jacquie @ Rattle the Stars‘ blog — please go check out Jacquie’s incredible blog!
MEMORABLE TITLES THAT START WITH “R”
I adored Radio Silence. It’s a powerful novel about mental illness, discovering who you are and what you want after high school, and friendship. The Raging Quiet is a tender novel about a young woman in the 1600s who falls for a deaf man, but then she’s accused of being a witch. It’s amazing. I read and reread Rainbow Boys in high school so much and it helped me heaps in figuring out my sexuality. Ravensong is the second novel in the Greek Creek series by TJ Klune and it was even better than the first and I don’t know how TJ pulled that off!
I read rock last year and it fucks me up to this day. I’m *this* close to emailing Anyta Sunday and asking her about the ending. Oh gosh, The Ruin of Gabriel Ashleigh is an incredible novella. KJ Charles strikes again!! Read it! The Rose Society is an incredible sequel to an amazing novel — literally, hands down, the best sequel I’ve ever read.
BOOKS STARTING WITH “R” ON MY TBR
Steffy adores Red Rising and I promised her I would read it (I just need to find time!). I’m really interested in the Romanov family and I’ve heard amazing things about Simon Sebag Montefiore’s biography. I’m so fascinated by Mary Wollstonecraft and Mary Shelley — a mother and daughter duo who never met but who shaped women’s rights for Georgian England, so I’m really excited to read Romantic Outlaws, a biography about them. The Red Scrolls of Magic is the first book in Magnus Bane’s series, a character from Cassandra Clare’s Mortal Instruments series — I’m so so so excited!
I haven’t read a Cat Sebastian novel yet and I’ve heard so many good things, so The Ruin of a Rake is definitely on my TBR. The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs looks so fun and interesting, I’m really intrigued by this novel. My close IRL friend says The Rat and the Raven is her favourite novel ever and it really shaped her understanding of her sexuality, so I’m keen to read this! I know so many mutuals who adore Reign of the Fallen so very keen to eventually read it.
