It’s time for another post in the ABC Book Challenge series, one coming out each week for 26 weeks! I originally saw this post over on Jacquie @ Rattle the Stars‘ blog — please go check out Jacquie’s incredible blog!
MEMORABLE TITLES THAT START WITH “I”
In Other Lands is my favourite YA book ever and you 100% have to read it! It’s adorable and moving and perfect — and I love my disaster bi son, Elliot. I just recently read If We Were Villains and it screwed me up — especially THAT ending — and it’s definitely memorable, I love it so much. It Ends With Us is a heartbreaking novel, but it’s also one everyone should read (but TW: domestic violence). It’s a book that taught me so much. I Am Malala is the autobiography of Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani girl who survived being shot by the Taliban, became an activist for female education and peace, and went on to win a Nobel Peace Prize. It’s an incredible novel, and I highly recommend it.
BOOKS STARTING WITH “I” ON MY TBR
I started reading both I’ll Give You The Sun and Ink and Bone a while back, and wasn’t in the mood for them so I returned them to my local library, but I do want to give them a go again, because so many people seem to love them! I don’t know much about Into the Drowning Deep but I do know it’s about a sapphic woman who goes on an expedition to the Mariana’s Trench — which is already so freaking cool. Island of Exiles has a bisexual protagonist who, I think, gets involved with a boy, so exciting! And it’s a survival fantasy, which sounds pretty cool.
