Laura Bianca.

2) ANY NICKNAMES OR ALIASES?

My friends sometimes call me Laur, which I don’t mind but it’s always confused me why someone would shorten my name when it’s only five letters. My aunty calls me Belle and some people at work call me Laurz (butif you ever call me Laurz, I will hurt you).

6) YOUR RELATIONSHIP STATUS?

Single.

7) ANY CHILDREN?

No, but I definitely want them when I’m older! I want at least four kids!

8) ANY PETS?

I have two very annoying budgies named Michelangelo and Leonardo that I will give away in a heartbeat (but not really).

9) ANY TATTOOS OR PIERCINGS?

Yep! I have two tattoos: a crescent moon on the back of my neck and a skull on my ankle. I have eight piercings: six on my ears, one on my nose, and the last is my belly button. At one point I had 13 piercings, but over the years I’ve taken them out for some reason. I want to get my tragus repierced and I also want to pierce my septum.

10 WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT YOURSELF?

My hair! It can drive me up the wall sometimes, but I have nice curls (when they behave). Also my boobs — I have pretty good boobs.

11) WHAT DO YOU DISLIKE ABOUT YOURSELF?

I’m a bit self-conscious about my weight sometimes.

“Asddghkhll omg she is ridiculous” to my sister because we were making fun of my cousin’s lame caption on her instagram post. To be fair, her caption was “Italy is not just a city, it’s the world” and my sister messaged me to laugh because Italy is a fucking country not a city, lmao.

To a professor at uni asking for sales statistics on a book for an assignment.

I was reading my friend Rae’s review of The Hate U Give. It’s a fantastic review and Rae goes into so much depth about the very important topics about this book, Please give it a read (the review and the book!).

My sister, asking her how her day was.

23) THE LAST PLACE YOU VISITED:

If we’re talking travelling, then Hobart in Tasmania.

24) YOUR LAST HOLIDAY ABROAD:

My sister and I did a big trip to Europe four years ago. We visited: Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Scotland, Wales and England. But we’re also going to New York in less than three months!

49) DO YOU BELIEVE IN ALIENS?

Absolutely! The universe is expanding every second — it’s so big, scientists don’t even know how big it is. What are the odds that in this ever-expanding universe, we are the only ones, on a tiny planet in a small corner of the universe, who exist? If you want to be convinced, read this amazing article about the Fermi paradox here!

50) DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES?

Not really, but sometimes things can’t be explained by logic. I don’t know if I’d call them miracles, but perhaps a coincidence. But then again, who knows.

51) DO YOU BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING?

Nope lmao. I have anxiety and depression and no amount of positive thinking has ever helped me.

52) DO YOU BELIEVE IN LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT?

Nope! You have to work for love, it doesn’t happen magically. The few people I’ve fallen for, I never fell for them at first sight. It took months for feelings to develop.

53) CAN MONEY MAKE YOU HAPPY?

It definitely won’t make you depressed. Anytime someone says “money doesn’t make you happy” you just know they’ve never been in a position where money coming in was an issue.

54) WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF AS A FEMINIST?

Absolutely!!!

55) ARE YOU PRO-LIFE OR PRO-CHOICE?

I am 100% pro-choice! As Rachel from Friends said:

56) DO YOU HAVE STRONG POLITICAL BELIEFS?

Yep, very! I have some very strong political beliefs and sometimes I have gotten into arguments with people.

57) DO YOU HAVE STRONG RELIGIOUS BELIEFS?

Nope, I consider myself agnostic. I believe there’s something out there, but no one knows what it is.

58) WHAT DO YOU THINK THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU CAN GIVE A CHILD IS?

Acceptance. I didn’t really get acceptance from my parents until my 20s and I didn’t realise how much that had affected me when I was younger.

The fact that I have work tomorrow and I really don’t want to go.

Nothing, unless you count waiting for my sister to leave the room so I can have some peace and quiet.

Nothing right now, but I am super excited about my trip to America in three months!

65) WHAT’S YOUR PET PEEVE RIGHT NOW?

Wilful ignorance: people who look at how shitty our world is right now and say ‘it’s got nothing to do with me, I don’t care’ and then are the first to complain when the government does something they don’t agree with.

66) WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE THING RIGHT NOW?

My Kindle! My family bought it for me for my birthday this year and I literally use it every night.

I’m actually still best friends with her and her name is Stephanie! We met on the first day of primary school and have been friends for 19 years. I love that girl.

74) YOUR FIRST JOB:

I got my first job at 13, working for my aunt at her gift-store. While I learnt a lot, I would suggest you never, ever work for family.

75) YOUR FIRST CHILDHOOD MEMORY:

Probably dancing in front of the TV with my younger sister. We were dancing to the Wiggles 😂.

Probably love, but by a very small margin.

Twitter. Old people have ruined Facebook, I hate going on there now.

Probably a relationship, although I don’t really have the time right now.

79) DOGS OR CATS?

Dogs, but they have to be small. Big dogs freak me out because when they stand on their hind legs, they’re taller than me.

Tea!

Wine! People who say they like beer are lying.

82) SWEET OR SAVOURY?

I have a massive sweet-tooth, so sweets!

83) INTROVERT OR EXTROVERT?

I’m probably in the middle, but leaning a bit more towards introvert.

84) VAMPIRES OR WEREWOLVES?

VAMPIRES! Because I’ve always wanted to be immortal.

85) SEASIDE OR COUNTRYSIDE?

Countryside! I don’t like the beach AT ALL, but look how lovely and beautiful the countryside can be!

86) SUMMER OR WINTER?

WINTER!! Summer in Australia is horrible: it’s boiling hot every day, there’s no wind, and the sun hurts. Winter on the other hand is lovely. I love curling up on the couch with a cup of tea and a good book, while it rains outside.

87) BOOKS OR MOVIES?

BOOKS! I don’t pay attention to movies; in fact, I can only watch movies in the cinemas because I get distracted at home.

88) HORROR OR COMEDY

Comedy! I’ve only just started getting into horror, and while I really like it, I’d prefer a genuinely funny comedy any day.

89) DO YOU WISH YOU COULD CHANGE YOUR PAST?

No, but I do wish I could get rid of my mental health problems while I was a teenager.

90) WHAT’S YOUR DREAM JOB?

Working as a YA book editor in Edinburgh!

91) WHAT’S YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE?

Spending the whole day reading a book — not leaving the couch expect to get food and pee.

92) WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF?

People will make fun of me but I’m afraid of one day finding out the person I’m dating is a serial killer. Here me out: I used to read a lot of crime fiction from age 14-16 and still have nightmares about some of those books. Like worrying about my partner being a serial killer.

93) WHAT WAS THE FIRST THING YOU WANTED TO BE WHEN YOU GREW UP?

An astronomer!

94) IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY SUPER POWER, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Teleportation! I’d love to be able to just travel wherever I want, whenever I want.

95) IF YOU COULD CHANGE ANYTHING ABOUT YOUR LIFE WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Yeah, I wish I didn’t have anxiety. Anxiety has really fucked up my confidence and self-esteem, and I feel like I’d be so much happier without it.

96) WOULD YOU WANT IMMORTALITY?

Yep, absolutely. I’d love to see where the world goes and what happens in the future.

97) IF YOU COULD INTERVIEW ANYONE ALIVE OR DEAD WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE?

Oscar Wilde! I adore that man so much — his mind was incredible, I’d love to just sit and talk to him over a pot of tea.

For the most part.

99) WHAT ONE PIECE OF ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO YOURSELF AT AGE EIGHTEEN?

Don’t be so self-conscious.

I’d love to have a full-time job, my own apartment, and a partner.
