The ABC Book Challenge | “H”

Hi all!

It’s time for another post in the ABC Book Challenge series, one coming out each week for 26 weeks! I originally saw this post over on Jacquie @ Rattle the Stars‘ blog — please go check out Jacquie’s incredible blog!

MEMORABLE TITLES THAT START WITH “H”

I read Hamilton’s Battalion earlier this year and it’s the best series of novellas ever: written by three women of colour, the novellas are connected and focus on a different couple — Jewish m/f; m/m featuring a black MC; f/f featuring two black women — and it’s perfection. Heartstopper is a webcomic (about to be a real graphic novel!) about two high school boys falling in love — it’s adorable! I barely remember How I Live Now but I do remember loving it so much while I read it, so it’s probably time for a reread. The Hate U Give is an incredible novel and so freaking memorable. It’s becoming a movie soon and I can’t wait!!

BOOKS STARTING WITH “H” ON MY TBR

I’ve been meaning to watch The Handmaid’s Tale ever since the show came out, and it’s also part of my Classics Club TBR, so that will be happening soon! Her Name in the Sky is about two girls coming to understand their sexuality and falling for one another: it features a friends to lovers romance too! His Cocky Valet was written in five days, in response to a romance author trying to copyright the word “cocky”, so I definitely want to support Cole in his revenge novel. I don’t really know much about How to Make a Wish, but heaps of my friends love this book, so keen to read!
