Hi all!
It’s time for another post in the ABC Book Challenge series, one coming out each week for 26 weeks! I originally saw this post over on Jacquie @ Rattle the Stars‘ blog — please go check out Jacquie’s incredible blog!
MEMORABLE TITLES THAT START WITH “E”
I read Edward II after watching a modern performance of the play in 2016 with my friends. It’s Christopher Marlowe’s last play about King Edward II of England who was in love with a man. I love Bo Burnham’s Egghead, a collection of his poetry. It’s funny and a little sad, just like him. Enlightened is the last book in Joanna Chambers’ Enlightenment series and it’s one of the best conclusions of a romance book I’ve ever read: read this book series and love the character, David and Murdo, as much as I do! Every Exquisite Thing is a short story set in the Shadowhunter series and this story is about Anna Lightwood, a genderqueer lesbian whom I love so much. It’s the best short story so far!
BOOKS STARTING WITH “E” ON MY TBR
The Edge of the Abyss is the last book in The Abyss Surrounds Us series — I’ve read the first and can’t wait to read the conclusion! I can’t believe I haven’t read all of Jane Austen’s books yet — y’all know how much I love her — but I did try reading Emma in high school and didn’t like it, but I definitely want to try again! Everything Leads to You is a YA f/f romance, so you know I’m here for that! Eleventh Hour is an historical m/m romance featuring British soldiers, one of whom is potentially genderqueer!
I checked my memorable books that start with an E: Emma by Jane Austen; Enemy of God and Excalibur by Bernard Cornwell; Escape by Jay Crownover. 🙂 It’s a really fun challenge, I think I’ll check Every Exquisite Thing (I love the Shadowhunters series!).
