Memorable Titles That Start With “B”
Bad Romance is an incredible young adult novel about domestic violence, so be wary if you read it, but, oh gosh, it’s powerful. Black Iris screwed me up when I read it: it’s about an antihero who gets revenge on the men who ruined her life, with the help of her girlfriend. Yep, it’s amazing, but also there’s trigger warnings. Blood Paint Water is an intoxicating young adult lyrical novel, in the form of poems, about the true story of Artemisia Gentileschi, a female Renaissance painter who was raped and put her rapist on trial. An incredible novel that I highly recommend, but again, trigger warnings. Born a Crime is Trevor Noah’s biography about his childhood growing up in South Africa during the last year of apartheid, and it’s amazing.
Books Starting With “B” On My TBR
I have no idea what Bear Town is about but so many Goodreads friends love it, and it has a 4.30 star rating on Goodreads, so … I’m very interested. I’ve wanted to read Beauty Queens for ages, because I’ve heard it’s a feminist version of Lord of the Flies! I love Anna-Marie McLemore’s novels, so I really, really can’t wait to read Blanca y Roja! And my favourite author, C.S. Pacat, highly recommends Border Crossing by Pat Parker, so that’s definitely on my TBR.
