5. Meredith Stone and Tonya Maldonado from Citywide by Santino Hassell

by Smoxt
Mere and Tonya are background characters in Santino Hassell’s Five Boroughs series, and they finally get their own story in the Citywide novella! I’ve been shipping them since it was vaguely suggested they had a thing for one another in one of the books in the series, and loved them together in their own story. Tonya is so protective of Mere, and Mere is so respectful of Tonya’s sexuality.
4. Sue Trinder and Maud Lilly from Fingersmith by Sarah Waters

by yellowbell
If you haven’t read Fingersmith, what are you doing with your life? This queer Dickensian novel is chock full of twists and a strange yet beautiful romance between two women, destined to destroy the other. I won’t say much because this book is full of twists and I don’t want anyone to be spoiled, but it is such a slow slow slow burn.
3. Sawyer Bell and Victoria Vincent from The Love Song of Sawyer Bell by Avon Gale
Asdfghlhlaksdfhkjashdf Vix and Sawyer gave me all the feels when I read The Love Song of Sawyer Bell. Their relationship is so beautiful and loving and just plain fun. Even when making out / having sex, there’s an element of friendship and fun and laughter, which was just so beautiful. I adore them together.
2. Evelyn Hugo and Celia Saint James from The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

by Ciara
MILD SPOILERS
I couldn’t find a piece of fan art for these two wonderful women 😭. Anyway, read this goddamn book because it is glorious and like straight-baiting lmao. You think you know what this book is about, but you don’t. Evelyn and Celia are incredible together, and their relationship is one of my favourites. I was on the edge of my seat reading this book and cried so much when they became lovers and partners. It’s just beautiful. READ IT!
1. Korra and Asami from The Legend of Korra / Turf Wars by Michael Dante DiMartino and Irene Koh

from the graphic novel, Turf Wars
If you didn’t know Korrasami would be my number one, you don’t know me at all. I have shipped these two since before talk of them getting together was announced. Korrasami is the ultimate slow burn, friends to lovers trope, and I live for them. Their relationship is so loving and pure, I’m crying thinking about them. Watch the show and read the graphic novels, because they’re amazing.
Honourable mentions
Aline and Helen from The Dark Artifices series | Ash and Kaisa from Ash | Charlie and Alyssa from Queens of Geek | Joanna and Arabella from The Price of Meat | Sana and Jamie from It’s Not Like It’s a Secret | Clara and Danielle from Knit One, Girl Two | Sadie and Amira from Princess Princess | Connie and Carla from Rock and Riot
What are your favourite f/f couples / romance books? Recommend some to me, too!!

Korrasami is on my list too. You’re so right about them being the ultimate slow burn but that’s one of the reasons why I love them together too.
