3 Facts About Me

1. I love British history. No, let me honest – I ADORE British history, so much so, that I can name the Kings and Queens of England IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER. (I can do this even better when I’m drunk lol).

2. I love reading True Crime articles. It’s a strange habit to have, but there’s something so gruesomely fascinating about them. I can’t stay away.

3. I’m a writer! I have been working on a 4-book YA series about a matriarchal society and magic. I have yet to start the actual writing part, because I have this habit where I get really excited about a book I’m working on, start writing it before I come up with the middle/end, and then I get to a certain point in the book and I’m like ‘… now what?’ So until I come up with a middle (I have the beginning and end), I won’t be writing because this book series is really important to me.

Dawning Moon’s questions

1c02e56d1c2249e2d7222666bdd0e194Which is a character that you wish to know the most?

Definitely Elizabeth Bennet. If I met her in real life, I’d cry.

What do you think is the most powerful superpower in the world?

Precognition – the ability to predict the future. You would know when anything bad is about to happen, and could potentially stop it. Also, tattslotto numbers.

Which do you prefer: your book or series getting a movie adaptation or a TV adaption?

TV adaptation! Movie adaptation have to cut so much out to fit into a 2 hour movie. TV shows can delve much deeper into the books – but I’d also like to have final say about changes. I don’t want my book series to suffer the same way Cassandra Clare’s The Mortal Instruments has suffered – there’s so much amazing content in her books, and they’re adding unnecessary scenes and stupid storylines.

How do you visualise your book?

I don’t want to reveal the titles of my books, but each title suggests darkness/lightness. So the first book is pitch black, the second a dark grey, the third a lighter grey, the last white – so they’re getting lighter and lighter with each novel. I can’t explain why that’s important, but it follows the storyline and it has to do with magic. I also picture a girl on the cover – but not like SJM’s books because I want the colour to be the most striking part of the novels. So maybe like the girl is in the corner or something? Or maybe like a different character on each novel, because each book’s title relates to a specific person in the book.

What inspires you the most?

My brother. He’s only 11, but he’s one of the best people I know. He’s a smart kid, and really sensitive and honest.

My questions:

1. If you could time travel to only one period of history, which would it be?
2. What is your favourite TV show/movie?
3. What is your favourite country/city you’ve traveled to? And if you haven’t traveled, what country/city have you always wanted to visit?
4. What classic novel have you always wanted to read but haven’t/or DNF’d?
5. Is there a book that you wish you had come up with instead of the original author?

I had no idea you were working a 4 book series! Wow that is a big and exciting undertaking 🙂 I am a sucker for true crime. I watch it and read it or even podcast it daily haha. Some of my friends find it a tad creepy to be honest 😉

It’s a very slow process Danielle. I have yet to actually write anything, aside from the prologue, because I don’t want my excitement to ruin it for me lol. I’ll get there eventually, there’s no rush for me ☺️
I love true crime so much, I mainly read articles because me and podcasts don’t go well with each other for some reason haha. Oh don’t worry, my friends think I’m creepy too ❤️

Yes I am (well, trying). Once I start the actual writing process, I’ll put more info on my blog 😊 Ahhhh, I love their accents too! When I was in England, it was so hard not to imitate their accents lol 😂

Thanks so much for the nomination! 😀 Love your questions, too! British history is amazing. I especially love to read about the Tudors and Victorian Britain. But I certainly couldn’t name the monarchs in order! That’s amazing! 😀 And yay! Love that you’re a writer. I’m one as well. So far I’ve written three books! Planning is always the hardest part. But once you have it all worked out, the writing should come easily. Wishing you all the best in the creation of your series!
Elizabeth Bennet is my hero. I’d love to get to know her, too. And it’s so cute that your little brother inspires you! ❤ Great answers!
