The Original Sims – The Best Author Debut

I LOVE THIS SERIES. And the first book was incredible. I reread the whole series last year, and I still love it just as much as I did when I read it for the first time as a teenager.

The Grim Reaper – Saddest Character Death

Snape. Yes, I am a Snape fan. Have been since book one, don’t judge me! Still not over it.

Sims Getting Stuck – A Character That Just Got In The Way

Henry. Like, what was your point? You contributed nothing to the novel and your stupid Robobee confused the hell out of me. If I sound angry, I am. This was a horrible ending to a much beloved series. Never going to get over it.

Simlish – A Book With Amazing Writing

Miller’s writing is touchingly beautiful and evokes such intense feelings from the reader. you fall in love, you cry, you laugh, and then you cry for the last 100 pages of the novel. Amazing.

Expansion Pack – A Series Where the Books Keep Getting Better

THIS SERIES KILLS ME EVERYTIME. The first book was good, the second amazing, the third incredible. I can’t get over how perfectly Pacat develops the story and the world-building.

Sim Romance – The Worst Case of Insta-Love

All of Colleen Hoover’s novels. Mad props to CoHo – she is an amazing storyteller and writer – but she ALWAYS falls back on the insta-love cliche, and, usually, the love-triangle too. Sometimes, she pulls it off like in It Ends With Us, but sometimes she doesn’t, like in Ugly Love.

Cheats – A Book That Was Entirely Unrealistic

This book is entirely unrealistic: two “heavens” competing for souls to be used as fodder in their war against one another. Yeah … no.

Needs Fulfilment: A Character Who Made All the Wrong Decisions

Mariko was a great character, but she made really stupid decisions that made zero sense. You’ll know what I mean when the book comes out.

Error Code 12 – A Series That Started Off Great But Went Downhill From There

By the time the fifth book came out, I started to hate this series. Aelin is the worst and the plot doesn’t make that much sense anymore, at least for me.
