I came across this tag on Maxine @ The Rogue Storyteller‘s blog and couldn’t pass up the chance to do it. I have not seen Hamilton because I live in Australia, but I have listened to most of the songs and know half of them off by heart. This is such a fun tag!! 😀
The questions:
The Room Where It Happens: A book world you would put yourself in
I would have so much fun in this book world. The Shadowhunter’s world is rife with magic, mayhem and romance. Love to read these books over and over again!
The Schuyler Sisters: An underrated female character
Tally Youngblood from the Uglies series. She goes through an incredible character development throughout the series and I feel like she doesn’t get enough love. (This could be because the series is pretty old now).
My Shot: A character that goes after what they want and doesn’t let anyone stop them
Adelina! 100% Adelina. This girl is crazy ambitious and I love her.
Stay Alive: A character you wish was still alive (YES there are spoilers!)
(LOOK AWAY NOW IF YOU DON’T WANT TO BE SPOILED. I’M SERIES. DON’T COMMENT AND YELL AT ME WHEN I HAVE GIVEN YOU A WARNING): Matthias. I wish he was still alive. His death was pointless and came during the last 30 pages of the book. Still not over it.
It’s Quiet Uptown: A book that made you ugly cry
This book killed me in so many ways. I cried and cried like a baby, but I loved every minute of it.
Burn: The most heartbreaking end to a relationship you’ve ever read (NO spoilers here!)
I was not happy with how the relationship between the main character and his love interest ended. It was unnecessary and disappointing. They deserved so much better.
You’ll Be Back: Sassiest villain
There are many villains in this series and all of them are fierce and sassy. I would have to choose Hades as the best: he was hilarious and sarcastic. Riordan creates such amazingly funny characters.
The Reynolds Pamphlet: A book with a twist that you didn’t see coming
The twist in this book is out of this world. No one will see it coming. Read it so you can experience how amazing it is.
Non-Stop: A series you marathoned
This series is amazing. I read all 3 books in 3 days. Please, please, please read this amazing series. You’ll thank me for it.
Satisfied: Favourite book with multiple POVs
This book is amazing and hilarious. I could not put it down and all of the characters were perfect. My favourite was G. Give me more from these awesome authors!!
Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story: A book/series you feel like will be remembered throughout history
This book. THIS BOOK. I was obsessed with this book in high school and it is definitely one that will be remembered.
BONUS QUESTIONS:
Helpless: A relationship you were pulling for from the very start
The two main characters in this book HATE each other with a passion, but the slow burn romance that develops between them is touchingly beautiful and hot. I wanted them to get together from the very start.
Ten Duel Commandments: Favourite fight scene
In this book, the love interests fight and it is one of the best scenes I have ever read. The fight scene is imbued with such tension and feelings of arousal, hate, anger and love. It has to be read to be believed. Love it – love them.
Say No To This: Guilty pleasure read
I love K.J. Charles’ books, especially her Society of Gentlemen series. It’s so British and romantic and incredibly well-written. I reread these books constantly, even when I have a full TBR load. I still go to these books even when I have other things to do!
What Comes Next: A series you wish had more books
This series is amazing and one of my favourites. I wish there were more; I NEED to know what happens after Kings Rising – what do Laurent and Damen do after? There are a thousand questions, and anyone who has read this series will know what I’m talking about.
Right Hand Man: Favorite BROTP
The BROTP between Kell and Rhys is beautiful and amazing. They are adopted brothers and best friends, and love each other fiercely. A great representation of male friendship.
What’d I Miss: A book or series you were/still are late to reading
I actually received a copy of Throne of Glass for Christmas the year it was published and never got around to reading it until last year. I then binge-read the series over one week. Loved it, but the 5th book was a little disappointing. I hope the final book doesn’t disappoint.
If you love Hamilton – or you’re like me and you’ve never seen it but know you will love it – consider yourself tagged! Please link me to your post if you decide to do it so I can read your answers 😀
-Laura ❤
I loved all these answers and can’t believe I forgot about all the sassy villains in the Percy Jackson series! I am ashamed.
Pro tip: listen to the Hamilton soundtrack from beginning to end, Nonstop (ha). That is, if you’re in the mood to feel your heart ripped out of your chest and prepared to sob for days. I do it on the regular. It’s very therapeutic.

I love the sass in Percy Jackson! It’s what makes the books so funny lol
I’ve downloaded the soundtrack and listen to it when I drive, but have yet to listen to them all in order. I’m sure I’ll cry lol thanks for the tip!! 😀 ❤
