Burn, Rewrite, Reread Tag

I saw this tag on Lia @Lost In A Story‘s blog and thought it was a really unique and awesome tag, so I decided to give it a go myself! Here we go!

The Rules:
  • Randomly choose 3 books (Tip: Use the “Sort > Random” option on your Goodreads’ Read shelf.).
  • For each group, decide which book to burn, which one to rewrite, and which to reread (a lot like Kiss, Marry, Kill).
  • Repeat until you completed three rounds (or six).
Round One:

Burn: It breaks my heart to write this, but Simon. I remember really enjoying this book, but am struggling to recall anything aside from a vague idea of the plot. If I can’t remember it that well, I have to choose burn.
Rewrite:
Batman: The Killing Joke because, although we find out the Joker’s real identity, I was expecting it to be a little more badass and crazy.
Reread:
I actually reread the entire Mortal Instruments series early this year, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. City of Bones, of course!

Round Two:

Burn: Interview With The Vampire, even though it will hurt. I have studied this book twice in the past two years for university and am thoroughly sick of it, even though it used to be a favourite of mine!
Rewrite: Kings Rising because I never liked the fact that the author didn’t write an epilogue. The book just … ends. I thought that was always silly, especially because the first book in the trilogy, Captive Prince, has a prologue.
Reread: I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Twilight. I’ve actually wanted to reread Twilight since I got sick of the series in 2008 – when Breaking Dawn came out and disappointed me so much I threw it against the wall.

Round Three:
Wow, this round is hard because I have wanted to reread all 3 of these books for months now.

Burn: Shatter Me because as the first book in the series, it is the most boring. Also, I hated that she dated Adam in this. #WarnerForLife
Rewrite: I Am The Messenger because I literally can’t remember a thing about this book, even though I liked it. So I’d probably rewrite it to be more … memorable?
Reread: The Named. Another book I can’t remember a thing about. There are three books in the series and I binge read them over a weekend back in highschool, so they must have been good! I do remember shipping a couple, though, and becoming obsessed with them.

Round Four:

Burn: That’s easy, Empire of Storms. Every time I think about this book I just get angry.
Rewrite: Prisonerbut not because it’s bad. It’s amazing and one of my favourite books. I would only rewrite it to include more kissing scenes.
Reread: From Hell is an amazing graphic novel. You need to experience this book to understand how incredible it is.

Round Five:

Burn: Finale but only because I can’t remember a thing about this series or how it ended. (I’m sensing a pattern here).
Rewrite: Specials because I want to rewrite that ending (even though I like who she ended up with).
Reread: A Seditious Affair because I love binary couples!

Round Six:

Burn: Half Lost because that ending is ridiculous! I wrote a whole rant about it in my review of the book.
Rewrite: How I Live Now and I’d make it less sad.
Reread: The Raging Quiet because it was such a beautiful and sweet novel.

I won’t tag anyone in this because I wasn’t tagged. If, like me, you thought this was a pretty awesome tag, go ahead and do it! Let me know in the comments which books you would burn, rewrite or reread!
